It’s fish massacre, clearly

Concern over seal threat to fish

“Almost half of the fish passing under a Teesside bridge are being eaten by seals, a pilot study has found.”

That sounds quite worrying… until you read:

“The 21-day survey was carried out by tagging the progress of 18 fish.”

… Wow, what a large and representative sample size =P

omg!!!! so… 8 1/2 fish were eaten up in 21 days in the study eh??

it’s always good to find a statistically significant result which stands up to scrutiny, isn’t it?? hee hee ;))

Made me chuckle! :D I am surprised they didnt tag 18 fish at the local aquarium to reduce the impact on the natural chain of events ;)

How did they tag the fish? Did they catch them? If the fish are stupid enough to get caught, they’re stupid enough to get eaten :-)

Hehe, it is indeed rather amusing! =P

Yes I’m not sure how they tagged the fish - hopefully not using those huge yellow tags, as that would just make the whole thing too silly =P
